It’s basically finished.
I finally got the acoustic glass panel for the control room window after several issues with quality control. The framing and measurements (by me) were perfect and it slotted in neatly. This was the biggest step in turning the shack from an old house into a recording studio. The acoustic panels look great, but more importantly, sound great. The control room has been fitted out with desk, computer and monitors – and also a retrospective look at how it was done in the old days with my original MQ1202 and TEAC 4 track reel to reel. These units are probably 35 years old and are a real eye opener for the young guns currently using the studio.
This week Said the People came in to track the beds for 3 songs and the room sounds great.
